Janet joined Stern Edlin Graham Family Law, P.C. in March 2019. She began her career as the staff attorney for Honorable Philip C. Smith in Forsyth County. Before joining the firm, Janet practiced family law for four and a half years at another Atlanta-area boutique firm specializing in high asset divorce and complex child custody cases. Janet is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association and volunteers with the High School Mock Trial Program.

Originally from the Maryland suburbs of D.C., Janet earned her B.A. in Psychology from Emory University. She worked in the legal field as a Supervisor at the American Arbitration Association and a litigation paralegal before attending Georgia State University College of Law on full scholarship as an Atlanta Law School Fellows Scholar. Janet graduated cum laude, earning honors in several classes, including Evidence and Research, Writing, & Advocacy for which she also served as a graduate assistant. In law school, Janet was a Vice President of Moot Court, a pupil of the Logan Bleckley Inn of Court, and had judicial externships at the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Superior Court of Fulton County. She draws on her experience, institutional knowledge, and psychology background to advocate for her clients with empathy and an eye towards creative and practical solutions to achieve the best possible outcome for them in their family law matters. She lives in Brookhaven and enjoys tennis, the outdoors, and live comedy.
